Above: Cadet Commander, Cadet Captain Jacob Iacarino holds Opening Formation.
Civil Air Patrol is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that is also the official Civilian Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. As such we follow an Air Force/Military Model. C.A.P. has three primary missions. Those missions are Aerospace Education, Emergency Services and the Cadet Program.
To enroll in the Cadet Program, a prospective cadet must be between the ages of 12 and 18, however once in the program a Cadet can remain a cadet up to age 21.
C.A.P. is not a military or boarding school, but is a youth development program that incorporates aviation and military customs and courtesies. Through their experiences as C.A.P. cadets, Civil Air Patrol prepares youth to achieve whatever goals they set for themselves in life.
C/Capt Iacarino and all of us at Towson Composite Squadron, thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you consider visiting/joining the Squadron.
